We are a
SPIRIT CONTEMPORARY
church

We aim to communicate the message of Jesus with a culture of love, acceptance and forgiveness.

Love | Accept | Forgive

This is the heart of Springs. We think of our church as a family, and we love to laugh and enjoy life together. We spell laugh differently (LAF) to help us remember these three things:

LOVE

ACCEPT

No one is perfect and we are all at different places in our walk with God. When we choose to accept each other, just as Christ has accepted us (Romans 15:7), we allow God to change us and help us grow.

FORGIVE

Just like life, church is filled with imperfect people. We all make mistakes so we all need to learn to forgive. You will free yourself when you forgive as Christ forgave you (Colossians 3:13).

Spirit Contemporary®

How would your world change if you regularly experienced the miraculous? And what if this happened everywhere you went—in a way that attracted people to Jesus? It wouldn’t just make a difference in your world…it would make the world different.

It might sound too good to be true…but that’s the Spirit Contemporary life.

While working as a first responder in an ambulance, Leon Fontaine longed to see God’s power at work outside the four walls of the church. He learned through many life-changing experiences that we can all unlock the miraculous in a way that works anywhere—at home, in a hospital, at work—with anyone!

Book

The Spirit Contemporary
Life

The Spirit Contemporary way of life involves communicating with others as Jesus would… using their language, stories, and settings. Leon draws on Biblical truth and personal stories to reveal how this dynamic first-century faith can be yours when you live so in tune with God that you’re guided in ways that are both natural and supernatural. The Spirit Contemporary Life reveals the key to living an empowered life—one that connects your day-to-day existence with God’s supernatural power.

Statement of Faith

*This is a condensed version of our statement of faith. A complete version can be provided upon request.

There is one God

The creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Bible

(Old and New Testament) is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. In it we find the revelation of God’s eternal and unchanging will for everyone. The Word (Bible) is the divine and final authority for the Christian life.

Jesus Christ

is the union of God and man. He is true God and true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.

Salvation

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for everyone.

It is the will of God that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer.

The Church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.

There will be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust.

We believe in water baptism and the observance of the Lord’s Supper.
